How To Fish It

Slow swim it: use a light jig head and retrieve just fast enough to keep the tail turning.
Drift it: let current or wind move the bait naturally while the curly tail works behind it.
Fish it under a float: set the depth and let the bait hang or move through the lane.
Vertical jig it: use short lifts, small shakes, and controlled falls around cover or suspended fish.

Rigging Notes

Thread it straight so the ribbed body tracks clean and the curled tail runs freely.
Use lighter heads when you want a slower fall, more hang time, and better tail movement at low speed.
Go slightly heavier when wind, current, depth, or deeper cover makes contact more important.
If the tail is not turning, slow down, lighten the head, or check that the bait is rigged straight.

Color Notes

The Twister Grub already gives you tail movement, so color should help fish locate the bait and decide to finish. Keep it natural when fish are close-looking. Add contrast when water color, wind, low light, or depth makes a small bait harder to track.

Clear Water / Bright Sun Start with monkey milk, pearl, smoke, clear flake, natural baitfish, light pink, and subtle translucent colors.

Stained Water / Clouds Try pink, purple, white, chartreuse, orange, glow, or stronger flake so fish can find the moving tail.

Low Light / Deeper Cover Use contrast. Bright bodies, darker flake, chartreuse, orange, black, and glow-style colors help the bait show up.

Pressure / Cold Front Fish Back down to cleaner colors, slow the retrieve, and let the tail move with minimal rod action.
