More Than A Bait Catalog

A Bait Maker, Not Just A Bait Shop.

Table Rock Custom Baits is built around making soft plastics with a clear purpose. A bait should do more than look good in a package. Its size, shape, tail, color, fall, and movement should help an angler solve a fishing problem.

That might mean a compact baitfish profile for suspended crappie, a subtle trout bait that works naturally in current, or a small but capable BFS bait that can be placed accurately around rock, docks, brush, and pressured fish.

The goal is not to make every bait imaginable. It is to make useful baits with identifiable jobs—and give anglers enough variety in profile, action, and color to adjust when conditions change.

The Maker Behind The Baits

Built By Brian.
Made One Order At A Time.

Brian is the bait maker behind Table Rock Custom Baits. The work is hands-on—from evaluating a profile and adjusting a color to pouring, inspecting, packaging, and answering questions from anglers.

That direct connection matters. The person making the bait understands why the profile exists, how the tail behaves, where the bait fits, and what can be changed when an angler needs something a little different.

The Working Philosophy

“Start with what the fish are doing. Then adjust the profile, action, color, and weight until the bait fits the situation.”

Where The Brand Comes From

Rooted In Table Rock And Taneycomo.

The Table Rock name is not decorative. The baits are created and tested around Table Rock Lake and Lake Taneycomo—two nearby fisheries that present very different water, forage, current, depth, and presentation challenges.

Working around those differences encourages a practical approach. A bait that works only under one narrow set of conditions is less useful than a profile that can be adjusted through color, rigging, weight, retrieve, and presentation.

The Core Message

Created and tested on Table Rock Lake and Lake Taneycomo.

Proven in clear, stained, muddy, and brackish water.

How We Think About A Bait

Every Detail Has A Job.

Profile

A minnow, grub, bug, split tail, paddle tail, or compact creature should resemble the type of forage and movement fish are responding to—not simply be smaller for the sake of being small.

Action

Some situations call for a hard-kicking tail. Others need a bait that glides, hangs, shakes, swims quietly, or moves naturally with very little input.

Color

Color can imitate forage, create contrast, add a target point, increase visibility, or reduce flash. The right choice depends on water, light, depth, and how closely fish are studying the bait.

Adjustment

A bait is only part of the presentation. Head weight, hook size, retrieve speed, depth, pause length, and rigging style can change how the same profile fishes.

What We Build For

Three Categories. Plenty Of Ways To Fish.

Crappie & Panfish

Compact baitfish, grub, and action-tail profiles for casting, vertical fishing, docks, brush, suspended fish, and light jig heads.

Trout

Profiles and colors made for current, drift, swimming, hovering, and natural presentations in lakes, rivers, tailwaters, and streams.

BFS

Bass Finesse System baits that combine compact size with real swimming, falling, gliding, shaking, and target-casting capability.

The Table Rock Baits Legacy

Some anglers still know the brand through the earlier Table Rock Baits name and logo. That history remains part of Table Rock Custom Baits and is still represented by anglers and prostaff who have carried the name on boats, clothing, and the water.
